What’s New in PATTERN

Spotting the unseen with AI

We’re proud to unveil PATTERN’s new VideoAnomaly detection tool, powered by cutting-edge Vision-Language AI models!
This technology can automatically scan recorded videos to detect events like:

  • Traffic jams
  • Unauthorized access
  • Suspicious behavior

Flexible and customizable, this tool is a step forward in building smarter, safer, and more responsive road digital twins.

PATTERN in the Classroom

The PATTERN Project was recently mentioned during the Introduction to Machine Learning lecture at the University of Trento as an example of regression in supervised learning. To make the topic more tangible, PATTERN was presented as a real-world application of ML techniques like face detection and obfuscation. 

Students were impressed to see how concepts like multidimensional regression connect to impactful use cases such as privacy-preserving video processing.

Moving forward: Progress Across the Board

In April, PATTERN held its first Advisory Board meeting, gathering feedback that is now helping to sharpen our strategy and guide upcoming deliverables.

Meanwhile, the team is hard at work on key milestones: 

  • Testing the full platform pipeline in the development environment 
  • Enhancing security with Keycloak integration and API support
  • Preparing for integration into Azure to support next deliverables
